Healthcare Safety, Compliance and Accreditation

Catalog description

This course will cover a wide array of topics that will expose students to healthcare safety and compliance. The course will cover topics related to the accreditation process detailing the students anticipated role in the process based on their respective majors. The students will also gain a familiarity with the various regulatory agencies that govern healthcare with a focus on the environment of care (EC) and how it's incorporated across the organization. The students will also understand the impacts of noncompliance as well as best practices for accreditation success. Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll.
