Catalog description

Focusing on middle school teaching in grades 4 through 8, this course examines the organization, curriculum, instructional strategies, classroom management techniques, and teaching methods for working with young adolescents. Also covered are middle level guidance, exploratories, scheduling, and parent-school relations. Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll. Enrollment limited to students with the ACCEPTANCE - TEACHER CANDIDACY attribute.
