Psychological Science II: Statistical Applications

Catalog description

This is a project-based course in which students apply knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics to answer research questions in psychology. Topics include selection of appropriate descriptive and inferential statistics to use with descriptive, correlational, predictive, and experimental designs; planning statistical analysis; using statistical software to organize data and conduct analyses; interpreting results, and writing formal reports of research in APA style. Students will apply knowledge and skills learned in the course to write an APA style lab report of a quantitative study. Enrollment is limited to students with a program in Psychology, Psychology, Psychology-Developmental or Psychology-Neuroscience.
