Catalog description

This is a physical optics course dealing with the nature and transmission of light. Topics covered will include the propagation of light, coherence, interference, diffraction, Maxwell's Equations, optics of solids, thermal radiation, optical spectra and lasers. Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll.
