Catalog description

This course introduces students to the foundational concepts, professional roles, and evolving scope of physical therapy practice. Students will explore core principles, including the APTA’s Vision and Code of Ethics, legal and regulatory frameworks, documentation standards, interprofessional collaboration, and patient-centered care. Students will gain practical skills in communication and professional conduct. Enrollment is limited to Graduate level students. Enrollment limited to students in a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
