Introduction to Pain Science

Catalog description

This course introduces fundamental principles of pain science and the complex, multifaceted nature of the human pain experience. Students will explore neural pathways, key neuroanatomy, terminology, and epidemiology. An introduction to basic pain assessment strategies will also be provided. Enrollment is limited to Graduate level students. Enrollment limited to students in a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
