The Level I Fieldwork C: Pediatrics course in our Occupational Therapy Doctorate program provides a dynamic and immersive experience focused on delivering occupational therapy services to children and their families. Integrating the principles of health, wellness, and the OT process with leadership and interprofessional collaboration, this course emphasizes the therapeutic use of self as a critical component in establishing trust and rapport with pediatric clients. Students will develop effective communication strategies and cultural competency skills to engage children and their families meaningfully, ensuring that care is responsive to diverse needs.
