Catalog description

This course focuses on the organizational structure within which the nurse administrator operationalizes the mission and goals of the health care delivery system for a diverse society. General system theory, strategic planning, integrated quality management, marketing, and fiscal management are all portrayed as essential knowledge areas for the nurse administrator. Fiscal, economic, budgetary resources, and management are also highlighted. Information systems as assistive technology in health care administration are emphasized. This course provides the student with a foundation of systems management based on organizational theory and analysis of relevant research. Enrollment is limited to Graduate level students.
