Catalog description

This course will examine the policy implications within and for health care in society. Cultural, social, economic, ethical and social justice issues will be examined. the nurse's role in policymaking and legislative activities at local, state and federal levels will be emphasized. Particular attention will be focused on special needs and diverse population groups. Students will gain experience using publicly accessible databases that provide evidence for policy making. Enrollment is limited to Graduate level students.
