Catalog description

This course examines the principles and practices of public and community health nursing. Emphasis is placed on health promotion, disease prevention, population health, and social determinants of health. Students will explore nursing roles in community assessment, program planning, and collaborative interventions. Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll. Enrollment is limited to students with a program in Nursing, Nursing or Nursing 1+2+1.
