Behavioral Health Clinical

Catalog description

This clinical course provides students with experiential learning opportunities to care for individuals, families, and groups experiencing behavioral and mental health challenges. Emphasis is placed on understanding psychiatric disorders, therapeutic communication, psychopharmacology, crisis intervention, and promoting recovery. Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll. Enrollment is limited to students with a program in Nursing, Nursing or Nursing 1+2+1.
