Catalog description

This course is designed to enhance the student's understanding of health policy as it relates to professional nursing practice. Students will explore health care policy and the policy-making process at various levels of government, research the impact of special interest groups on policy, and learn effective strategies to interact with legislators as citizen lobbyists and/or members of professional nursing organizations. Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll. Enrollment is limited to students with a program in Nursing.
