Catalog description

This course introduces students to the principles of pharmacology, including drug classifications, mechanisms of action, therapeutic uses, adverse effects, and interactions. Emphasis is placed on the safe and effective use of medications in patient care, with a focus on critical thinking and clinical decision-making aligned with professional competencies. Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll. Enrollment is limited to students with a program in Nursing, Nursing or Nursing 1+2+1.
