Catalog description

This course provides prelicensure BSN students with the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to the care of infants, children, and adolescents in a variety of healthcare settings. The course focuses on the development and health needs of pediatric patients, with an emphasis on family-centered care, health promotion, and the management of common pediatric health conditions. Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll. Enrollment is limited to students with a program in Nursing, Nursing or Nursing 1+2+1.
