Catalog description
This course provides clinical experience in caring for childbearing women, neonates, and families in diverse healthcare settings. Emphasis is placed on family-centered care, physiological and psychosocial adaptations during the perinatal period, and the application of professional competencies to promote safe and evidence-based nursing practice. Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll. Enrollment is limited to students with a program in Nursing, Nursing or Nursing 1+2+1.
