Catalog description

This course provides clinical experience in managing the care of adult patients with common medical and surgical conditions. Students will develop skills in nursing interventions, critical thinking, and decision- making through hands-on practice and application of professional competencies. Topics include comfort and coping, homeostasis and protection, perioperative care, altered sensory input, ingestion, digestion, absorption and elimination, and oxygenation and ventilation. Enrollment is limited to students with a program in Nursing, Nursing or Nursing 1+2+1.
