Catalog description

Applied Piano develops students’ technical skills, musicality, and performance abilities through individualized weekly lessons. Instruction focuses on technique, including hand position, articulation, pedaling, and phrasing, while building effective practice habits. Students will explore a diverse repertoire, ranging from classical works to contemporary and culturally varied pieces, enhancing their artistry and confidence in performance. Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll. Enrollment limited to students with department of Music.
