Catalog description

This course prepares music education majors to teach and conduct choral ensembles across diverse secondary settings. Students will develop expertise in pedagogy, rehearsal planning, assessment, and repertoire selection while integrating technology and inclusive teaching practices. In addition, this course emphasizes designing effective long term class scheduling, placements/auditions, skills assessment, and rehearsal sequencing essential for a secondary teacher in any music setting. Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll.
