Catalog description
A survey of methods and concepts of marine microbiology. Attention will be given to technical aspects of sample collection, microbial ecology of the marine environment, enrichment culturing, methods of enumeration and identification with emphasis on marine bacteria. Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll.
