Catalog description
This is a first course in the study of differential equations. Students will learn how to create models involving differential equations for various phenomena and determine properties of solutions from these equations. Students will also solve first-order equations, linear systems of equations, and linear higher-order equations. Approximation techniques will also be studied. Mathematical software will be used in this course. Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll.
