Issues in Asia; Women in Asian Societies

Catalog description

Students will have an opportunity to gain an in depth understanding of the issues surrounding the roles and status of women in a rapidly changing Asia; from both a historic and a current context. These issues, which are political, religious, economic, health, social justice and legal, among others are vital for women in Asia, their societies as well as this ever globalizing world. Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll.
