The Scientific Revolutions of the 17th and 18th centuries is a survey of the changes and developments in Western science from antiquity to the brink of the Industrial Revolution. The course investigates the origins, transmission and development of scientific ideas and the appearance and impact of new intellectual communities in Western Europe. Thematic Thread(s): Conservation, Technology & Imagination, Transfer Thread Completion Course Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll.
