Twentieth Century British Culture

Catalog description

This course is a study of key events, people and trends that shaped British culture throughout the Twentieth Century. The course will focus on such moments as the two world wars, decolonization and the rise of a multi-racial populace. It will provide the historical narrative and then analyze the cultural impact through the use of film, television, art, theater, photography and music. Thematic Thread(s): Conservation, Technology & Imagination, Transfer Thread Completion Course Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll.
