U.S. Manhood and Masculinities

Catalog description

An examination of expressions of manhood in American History from the colonial era to the present. Through the use of gender as a category of historical analysis, students will study notions of manhood in social relations, sexuality, the economy and politics. Thematic Thread(s): Citizenship & Social Problems, Human Diversity & Well-Being, Transfer Thread Completion Course Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll.
