Catalog description
This course provides teachers with an in depth look at key individuals and cultures that have impacted Western civilization from antiquity through the early modern era with regards to science content. The primary focus will be on discoveries that have impacted current knowledge bases in chemistry, biology, medicine, geology, and physics. A second focus will be study of the debate and reasoning provided by leading scientists involved, while paying attention to the social and cultural contexts in which they worked. Enrollment is limited to Graduate level students.
