Catalog description
Social Studies and Citizenship for Young Learners will explore advanced work in the social studies curriculum, including its organization. Candidates will analyze methods of teaching, objectives and materials and will discuss evaluation /assessment techniques and citizenship development for PK-4 learners. Best practice classroom applications and the relationship between instruction and student learning outcome will also be explored within the context of social studies and citizenship content. Enrollment is limited to Graduate level students.
