Catalog description

Teacher candidates in this course will explore the social studies curriculum, including its organization; analyze methods of teaching, objectives, and materials; discuss evaluation/assessment techniques and citizenship development for PK-4 learners. Study focuses on best practice classroom applications and the relationship between instruction and student learning outcome. Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll. Enrollment limited to students with the ACCEPTANCE - TEACHER CANDIDACY attribute.
