Catalog description

Provides students with a myriad of opportunities to: identify and develop basic teaching skills, design and implement math and science lessons for peers and school-aged children, and reflect/analyze lessons in light of science and math education research findings. Throughout the course, candidates will have the opportunity to actually experience classroom teaching when possible. Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll. Enrollment limited to students with the ACCEPTANCE - TEACHER CANDIDACY attribute.
