Game Theory, Behavioral and Experimental Economics

Catalog description

This is an upper division undergraduate course, focused on Behavioral Economics, Game Theory and Experimental Economics. Game Theory, is an analysis tool, targeting interdependent strategic situations, where the outcome is jointly determined by one's strategy as well as their opponents'. Behavioral Economics, borrows insights from Psychology into economic analysis by removing the full rationality as the assumption and introducing human bias. Experimental Economics offers a practical tool to test theories and ideas. In this course, students are required to complete a course project by proposing a research question with a testable hypothesis, designing and conducting experiments to test it, collecting and analyzing the data, and sharing the results in an oral presentation as well as a written report.
