Society and Social Dance

Catalog description

This course will examine the relationship between social dance and the social, political and cultural climate of the society in which the specific dance forms were created and performed. Emphasis will be placed on 20th century American social dance forms and styles. Students will be required to attend certain dance events for this course; some may require a fee.
