Police and Society

Catalog description

This class examines the role of law enforcement and policing in contemporary society. This course also covers the history of policing, policing theory, police culture, different law enforcement agencies, and the social role of modern police agencies. Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll. Enrollment is limited to students with a program in Criminology & Criminal Justice or Criminology.
