Catalog description

A review of basic theories, philosophies, methods, and skills that underlie successful community and correctional-based interventions with an emphasis on groups and families serviced by the federal, state, and/or local criminal justice systems. Topic coverage also includes examining the overrepresentation of minorities under correctional supervision and service provision to culturally diverse populations. Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll.
