Catalog description

This course provides a survey of data analysis and data mining techniques for finding patterns in data. It will emphasize the topics of data selection and preparation, model selection, model building and implementation, model testing and evaluation, and results interpretation. If students take CPSC 405 for the undergraduate program, they can take CPSC 605 for additional credits. Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll. Students cannot enroll who have a program in Health Informatics.
