Catalog description

Both the classical and the contemporary theories of computation will be discussed in this course. The topics covered include the theory of automata and formal languages, computability by Turing machines and recursive functions, uncomputability, and proof of correctness of code. Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll.
