Catalog description

It is a practical course that introduces a wide range of bioinformatics tools, algorithms and biological databases. A broad array of topics in Bioinformatics will be covered such as: overview of Bioinformatics, biological databases, sequence alignment, multiple sequence alignment, molecular phylogeny and evolution, gene expression analysis, protein structure and genome mapping. Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll.
