Catalog description

An examination of new-media forms and the effects of new digital media on media industries and the practice of journalism. The course will examine the differences between traditional and new media journalism in theory and in practice and explore online writing techniques and the impact of social networking sites on the practice of journalism. Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll.
