Counseling and consulting in the field under supervision. Although individual counseling is emphasized, there are opportunities for group counseling, agency collaboration, development of awareness of community client resources and application of multicultural sensitivities to clients, their significant others and community stake holders in terms of treatment planning and advocacy. Students are required to have all appropriate clearances and proof of professional liability insurance for counselor-in-training, attend weekly group and individual supervision with program faculty and weekly on site supervision provided by approved clinical supervisor. Enrollment is limited to Graduate level students. Enrollment limited to students with the SPECIAL APPROVAL attribute.
