Catalog description

Higher education professionals are expected to respond to a variety of critical incidents that can occur on and off campus. The course serves as an introduction to managing conflict and crisis in American higher education. Students will explore the nature of conflict and acquire skills for effective mediation. Students will develop the skills to plan ahead, as well as respond when crises arise. The focus on managing critical incidents will concentrate on the planning, prevention, response, and recovery that institutions and their leaders can undertake. Enrollment is limited to Graduate level students.
