Catalog description

This course is an in-depth study of the characteristics and needs of American college students and how such attributes influence student educational and developmental needs. Students in the course will gain an understanding of how student learning and learning opportunities are influenced by student characteristics by analyzing subcultures within the student population while assessing barriers and obstacles to student success. Students in this class will also gain an understanding of the specific needs and services that enhance retention and persistence to graduation on a college campus. Enrollment is limited to Graduate level students.
