Catalog description

This course focuses on the process, development and acquisition of those basic counseling skills including but not limited to attending, active listening and inquiring. It is recommended that this course be taken in the beginning of the student's program of study. Requirements include role-play and videotaped practice/presentation of counseling skills. Enrollment is limited to Graduate level students. Enrollment limited to students with the SPECIAL APPROVAL attribute.
