Catalog description
This course will provide students with opportunities to explore traditional and non-traditional flexible materials, techniques and concepts of contemporary Fiber Art at an advanced level. Through two-and three dimensional projects students will have an opportunity to develop their skills, artistic perception and conceptual thinking. The course will focus on students gaining independence in making judgments, and developing fluency in their art process. Through creative studio practice, students should be able to develop the following emphasized artistic traits: independence in making judgments and fluency in ideas and materials. Repeatable: consult individual curriculum guide. Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll.
