Catalog description
Students will learn techniques designed to develop skills in auditioning for professional theatre and performance contexts. Over the course of the semester, students will prepare a diverse repertoire of audition material appropriate to their performance discipline and career goals, including classical and contemporary monologues and/or vocal selections. Cold readings, self-tape techniques, appearance and attire, interview skills, and professional protocols will also be covered. Material selection and portfolio development will be tailored to individual student career objectives in acting and/or musical theatre. Major GPA of 3.0 required for Enrollment.
