Catalog description

This course introduces the care of adult patients beyond foundational care. The course includes health alterations and nursing care with a focus on concepts related to comfort, coping, homeostasis, protection, perioperative care, sensory input, ingestion, digestion, absorption, elimination, oxygenation, and ventilation. Students will develop clinical reasoning, communication, and decision-making skills in caring for adult patients across the healthcare continuum.
