Catalog description

Introduces students to American Sign Language (ASL), a visual-gestural language used in the Deaf community in the United States and parts of Canada. Students will develop foundational skills in expressive and receptive signing, learn basic ASL grammar and vocabulary, and gain cultural awareness of the Deaf community. The course emphasizes interactive communication, storytelling, and visual engagement.
