Catalog description
Introduces students to Korean language and culture with a focus on fundamental grammatical structures. Students will acquire foundational skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Emphasis will be placed on learning Hangul (the Korean alphabet), developing basic conversational skills, and gaining familiarity with Korean cultural practices. Class will be conducted for the most part in Korean in order to provide a concentrated, immersive environment that accustoms students to the language. Use of English during the class will be kept to a minimum in class.
