Catalog description
Provides a comprehensive introduction to modern Hebrew language and culture. Students will develop basic proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, ensuring a solid command of the fundamental grammatical structures. Emphasis is placed on acquiring everyday vocabulary, mastering the Hebrew alphabet and pronunciation, and building the ability to communicate in simple conversations. Cultural topics, such as Jewish traditions, Israeli society, and contemporary media, will be integrated throughout the course. No prior knowledge or familiarity with modern Hebrew or Israeli culture and society is assumed or necessary to succeed in this class.
