An exploration of game theory, also known as the study of strategic interaction. Students will learn how to use mathematical models to study strategic environments in areas of economics and business and analyze real-world applications and empirical and experimental tests of game-theoretic models. Topics include rationality, strategic form games, Nash equilibrium, extensive form games and backward induction, subgame perfect equilibrium, repeated games, moral hazard and the theory of incentives, games with incomplete information, and signaling games.
