Catalog description

The most common technologies for the Speech -Language Therapist for the execution of clinical and administrative tasks will be discussed and integrated in this course. Practical experiences with computer applications and commercial and free software will be provided. Students will assess computer programs and applications to adapt them to their patient needs. Distance services provision through the use of technology and its possible impact in confidentiality will be evaluated. Social network use in professio nal practice will be studied along with the behavior codes developed to this end. The way technology equipment helps people with disabilities to have independence within the society will be discussed.
