Catalog description

The first of two courses of foundations of the professional practice of social work, of regular curriculum. It is directed to the study of the purpose, roles and the regulating organisms of the Social Work profession. It allows the acquisition of knowledge about the historical trajectory of Social Work and the ethical principles that govern the profession. It examines the practice of social work as a method and process of intervention with individuals and families (micro - systems), through a generalist perspective, with emphasis on the process of human communication and professional interview.
