PHYSICS AND VASCULAR INSTRUMENTATION
Sistema Universitario Ana G. Mendez · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
This course covers a discussion of cardiovascular physics and instrumentation. In the same way, it shows us a review of physics and instrumentation. The course addresses its focus on the hemodynamics of blood flow with a focus on differences in the vascular system. The development, use and function of the continuous wave Doppler, pulsed wave Doppler, as well as the realization of Duplex and Triplex images. Its emphasis is based on the elaboration and analysis of the spectral wave, as well as the interpretation of color Doppler and spectral Doppler images. It is aimed at preparing the student and introducing him in a more in-depth way to the analysis of normal vascular hemodynamics and the effect of pathologies on the flow through the circulation and on the heart. This course meets 45 hours of theory in one semester.
